By Admin | November 14, 2007

The clear blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean surrounding Tenrife have given the island and its people their unique character. It is one the the island’s most important natural resources for tourism.

The sea, which bathes the island’s tranquil beaches, is a perfect place to enjoy all sorts of water sports:

are but a few of the possibilities.

You can discover the many miles of unspoilt coastline around Tenerife or the joys of water skiing and deep-sea fishing.

Beneath the surface there are spectecular rock formations and abundant animal and plant life of brilliant colors, ideal for those interested in diving.

Tenerife’s unique climate and biological conditions make it possible to see one of the world’s most important colonies of Pilot whales and Bottlenose dolphins, both endangered species. They are found happily playing near the boats off the coastline greeting visitors with their friendliness and curiosity.
